PRX Treatment Consent and Pre & Post Care Instructions

Treatment Overview

PRX Derm Perfexion / PRX-PLUS is a needle-free topical biostimulator designed to tighten, tone, lift, and/or brighten skin. It is applied topically with specific massage techniques and may require a series of 4–5 sessions for optimal results.

Indications

● Fine lines & wrinkles
● Loss of firmness/skin laxity
● Uneven texture or pores
● Hyperpigmentation, melasma, or dark spots
● Scars & stretch marks (often in combination with other treatments)

Contraindications

I understand that I should not receive this treatment if I have:
● Active skin irritation, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or compromised skin barrier
● Open lesions, cuts, or infections in the treatment area
● Pregnancy or breastfeeding
● Known allergy to any listed ingredients (TCA, hydrogen peroxide, kojic acid, ammonium trichloroacetate, homocysteic acid, citric or phytic acid)
● Active herpetic eruptions

Possible Side Effects

● Temporary redness, dryness, tingling, or flaking may occur
● Pigmented spots may appear darker for several days as the surrounding skin brightens
● Mild burning or stinging may occur during application
● Rare: allergic reaction or contact dermatitis
● Avoidance of harsh products, waxing, and active skincare is required before/after treatment

Pre-Treatment Instructions (PRX)

● Avoid waxing, chemical peels, or harsh exfoliants for 7–14 days before treatment
● Discontinue retinoids, isotretinoin, or Vitamin A derivatives for at least 15 days before and during the series, and for 3–5 days after the last treatment
● Arrive with clean skin, free of heavy makeup, self-tanner, or active irritation
● Inform your provider of any recent skin treatments, medications, or changes in health
● Be realistic with expectations—results build gradually with consistent treatments

Post-Treatment Instructions (PRX)

● SPF 40+ daily is required. Makeup may be applied immediately after
● You may exercise, but avoid saunas, hot tubs, or steam rooms for 2 days
● Use only gentle cleansers and prescribed WiQo® products (Moisturizing Face Cream, Softening Fluid, etc.) as directed
● Expect mild redness, tightness, or flaking—this is normal and temporary
● Avoid harsh scrubs, peels, retinoids, and strong actives until 3–5 days after your last treatment
● For dryness or sensitivity, apply WiQo® Moisturizing Face Cream multiple times daily
● Report any persistent irritation, redness, or discomfort lasting more than 48 hours
● Follow the recommended home care kit for best results and maintenance

I have been informed of the nature, benefits, risks, and possible side effects of the PRX treatment. I understand that results are cumulative and require a series of treatments and proper home care. No specific outcome is guaranteed as results vary for each individual.
